Tools should work for more people

We are building SpokenEnglishTips Tools so its navigation, controls, results, and explanations can be used across different devices and access needs.

Design goals

  • Semantic headings, labels, buttons, links, and landmarks.
  • Keyboard access with visible focus indicators and a skip link.
  • Responsive layouts that remain usable on narrow screens and when text is enlarged.
  • Plain language, readable contrast, and controls that do not depend on color alone.
  • Reduced animation when the device requests reduced motion.
  • Status messages for actions such as copying text.

Known limitations

The site is still being developed and tested. Accessibility can vary with browser features, assistive technology, language, and the amount or kind of generated text. This page describes our goals and does not claim that every page fully conforms to a particular standard.

Report an accessibility problem

Email [email protected] with the affected page address, the problem you encountered, and—if you are comfortable sharing it—the browser, device, and assistive technology used. Do not include private tool input.

Alternative access

If a tool cannot be completed because of an accessibility barrier, describe the task in your message. We will use the report to investigate the barrier and, when practical, explain an alternative way to complete the task while a fix is considered.
